ABOUT ME…

I live in Melbourne, Australia. I was born in Yugoslavia. My mum is Macadonian and dad is Muslim-Arab from Syria. My husband is Greek so our kids are a mixed bag.

I am a Cultural Anthropologist. I have worked on projects in South-East Asia, the Pacific and Australia on Indigenous rights to forests, fisheries and mitigating climate change.

I started homeschooling because I had been respecting my children’s autonomy and choices since they were born so it was hard to stop doing that when they were not comfortable going to kindergarten and school.

I started unschooling when the school-at-home structure I implemented wasn’t working and the curriculums and bookwork became a drag for every one of us.

I am a quiet introvert but I love to share my craziness with the people in my inner circle.

I love the sea and I feel the most expansive when I can see, taste, smell and hear the sound of waves in the background of my life.

My highest values in life are freedom, relationships and peace.
